The Administration at the School of Architecture organized a two-day orientation program for the newly admitted students from the academic year 2023/ 2024. First-year students were welcomed and congratulated by the school leadership for choosing to pursue their various specializations in the School. School of Architecture is comprised of three departments namely; Department of Architecture, Land Management, and Department of Urban and Regional Planning.
The orientation program which was held for two days, first day started with the briefing of students and what it takes to excel in the School of Architecture. They were also introduced and walked through the Architecture studio where architectural projects crafted by their senior students are displayed. There were also some marks from the dean, the deputy dean, and the head of the department as well as the general introduction by the lecturers in the School.
During the second day of orientation, the students were oriented on the rules and regulations in the School of Architecture and the entire University. In a nutshell, students were briefed on how to codes of conduct. They were also briefed about the administrative structure of the school. Orientation was concluded with the introduction of some architectural tools and equipment that each student should have to thrive in the School.
